Can the pool shape or size be modified?

The fibreglass shell can be installed in-ground or above ground, thanks to its clever reinforced support design. However, we recommend keeping container pools above ground. Ensure proper drainage and structural support are in place.

How do I get my pool to my location?

We arrange transportation of your pool to your location. For remote or difficult-to-access areas, special arrangements may be needed.

Do I need council approval?

Yes, certification and council approval are required for any pool in Australia. Documentation differs from state to state, and you will be required to complete this. It can be submitted through the council directly or through a private certifier.

Do I need a fence?

Yes, you will need a safety fence around your pool to comply with Australian Standards. Each state and territory has specific requirements for pool fencing, so you must ensure your pool area complies with your local council’s regulations. For shipping container pools, we can include a gate if needed.

Do I need a crane?

Normally, yes. In some situations, it is possible to “tilt tray” the pool onto a prepared concrete slab, but in most cases, a crane will be needed. Local crane operators will visit your site beforehand to determine the specific crane and lift details and have everything set up for you when the truck brings your pool to your location.

Can I do my own decking?

Yes, you can install your own decking. Please let us know so that we can work with your builder to ensure the heights of decking, concrete slabs, or supporting steel frames are correct. Consider access to the pumphouse area inside the container, fixing of decking bearers to the container, fixing of any required pool fencing, and the location of heat pump grilles. We’ll work with you to get it all perfect!

What electrical supply and work are needed for pool installation?

You will need a standard 240V electrical supply for the filtration system and any additional electrical features such as lighting or heating. Electrical work is required, so you will need to hire a licensed electrician to handle the installation, ensure all electrical requirements are met, and properly earth the pool.

Each Shipping Container Pool is supplied fully plumbed, and no exterior plumbing is necessary. If you selected the optional sand filter, your local council may require you to plumb the waste flow to stormwater or sewer, but this is not a universal requirement.
